New Geddes was the capital city of the terriformed asteroid Hanoon, built and established shortly after the Galactic Empire was driven off the planet during the early years of the Galactic Civil War. In the year 14 ABY, New Geddes was attacked by Imperial Remnant forces under the Dark Order of Korr and captured, its defending forces obliterated with low Imperial casualties. An Imperial Garrison would be established on the planet, and Hanoon's mining facilities would be supplying resources to the forces of Jaden Korr, and later to the Greater Sith Empire. Eventually, however, the New Republic would reclaim the planet near the end of the Dark Order War.
