Their values are as follows: * Silver Studs are worth 10 * Gold Studs are worth 100 * Blue Studs are worth 1000 * Purple Studs are worth 10000 Each time a character dies, a certain number of Studs are lost (varying from 1000-4000, depending on whether the adaptive difficulty option is turned on).
