Blowpipe Blowpipe
rdfs:comment
Blowpipe is a skill, described in Basic Set, p. 180. Smaller blowpipes are generally made of wood, while larger blowpipes may be made out of any metallic substance, as they can double as clubs. A blowpipe is a cylindrical tube, usually made of wood, which is used to fire projectiles at an enemy. One fits the projectiles in one end of the pipe, sharpest point outward; to fire them, one gives a hard puff of air through the opposite end of the pipe. The Blowpipe is a ranged weapon that appeared in Worms 3D. The initial impact only a single point of damage to be taken, however 4 additional health points will be removed from the victim at the end of every turn he remains affected (including the first turn when he is hit). As with the Nuclear Bomb and Gas Canister, its effects are halted when the victim collects a health crate. Also alike the Nuclear Bomb and Gas Canister, the victim cannot die from the Blowpipe alone - it will bring them down to 1 health point and they will remain there indefinitely until damaged in another way. Affected worms are easily recognizable by their greenish hue. A blowpipe was a type of weapon consisting of a pipe which shoots darts or projectiles. The Blowpipe is a ranged weapon that uses Seeds or Poison Darts for ammo. The Blowpipe allows the collection of seeds by destroying grass. The seeds collected cannot be planted. It is commonly found in Chests near or on the surface. Projectiles fired by the Blowpipe are heavily affected by gravity. File:Terraria Blowpipe and Jungle tier item review! Used as a silent and deadly weapon, the blowpipe functioned in a similar way to poison darts. Two types of dart could be used in conjunction with the blowpipe: beserk darts and sleep darts, each crafted out of animal bones that could be obtained through hunting. The first known use of the blowpipe and darts by the Assassins dates back to 1670, when the Caribbean Assassin Mentor Bahlam used an unusually potent sleep dart to subdue the Sage Thom Kavanagh before safely transporting him to the Assassin camp of Tulum, where Thom awoke some days later. __NOWYSIWYG__ A Blowpipe is a basic weapon, using a Sleep Dart as common ammunition. Since it made almost no noise, the hiding place of the user wasn't threatened. Blinding powder could also be fired through a fukiya. The Bansenshukai ninja manual recounts the technique of using a blowpipe to see in a dark room. The shinobi would fire a dart with a small charge of gunpowder that ignites, illuminating the inside of a room for a second. Blowpipes are not common weapons in the Old World, but are sometimes used by assassins. They fire a small dart, often poisoned.

__NOWYSIWYG__ The Blowpipe is a ranged weapon that appeared in Worms 3D. The most commonly used projectiles are sharp darts, which are often tipped with poison. However, smaller projectiles such as thorns and wood slivers have been used. The firing apparatus can be short or long in size; most creatures who used blowpipes, such as the Painted Ones, used short and easily portable pipes. Their firing range was shorter than was the case with a longer blowpipe, such as the one Ketral Vane used; a longer tube allows the dart to carry great distances with amazing accuracy. Two creatures were known to use modifications on the traditional blowpipe form; Janglur Swifteye, whose flute doubled as a blowpipe, and the sons of Wirga, who all used hollow-handled spears that converted to long-range blowpipes once the points were removed. It is also worth mentioning that, though Blodd Apis' blowpipe was a standard reed pipe, it was unusual in the fact that she used it to shoot thorns tipped with bee venom instead of poison. A Blowpipe is a basic weapon, using a Sleep Dart as common ammunition. Blowpipe is a skill, described in Basic Set, p. 180. A blowpipe was a type of weapon consisting of a pipe which shoots darts or projectiles. Used as a silent and deadly weapon, the blowpipe functioned in a similar way to poison darts. Two types of dart could be used in conjunction with the blowpipe: beserk darts and sleep darts, each crafted out of animal bones that could be obtained through hunting. Berserk darts would cause a target to attack anyone within close range, including guards, animals and Edward himself, for a short period of time. As soon as said period came to an end, the target would die. Sleep darts would cause targets to be knocked out for a short amount of time, allowing Edward to sneak past unnoticed. Both types of blowpipe darts could be used to cancel out the effects of the other. In 1715, while operating in Havana, Cuba under the guise of Duncan Walpole, Edward Kenway encountered a group of Assassins who were armed with blowpipes. Edward himself was shot with a dart at close range, causing him to lose focus for a few seconds before the effects wore off. Kenway aquired a blowpipe of his own the following year, when he visited Tulum and susbequently aided Mary Read during a slave raid on the settlement. Using the darts, Edward was able to eliminate British soldiers and free both Assassins and his own crew members alike. In the 1760s and 1770s, Aveline de Grandpré's blowpipe contained lethal and berserk darts. The weapon first belonged to the Assassin François Mackandal, before it was passed down to Aveline by her Mentor, Agaté. While disguised in her lady persona, Aveline made use of a parasol gun, given to her by Gérald Blanc, which contained a mechanism similar to the blowpipe. Blowpipes are not common weapons in the Old World, but are sometimes used by assassins. They fire a small dart, often poisoned.
