n7:abstract
The 82nd Airborne was a division of airborne infantry (paratroopers) in the U.S. Army. They used marksman carbines at the time of the Great War. The All-American is a heavily-modified marksman carbine which was either used by or intended for the 82nd. The 82nd Airborne Division was an elite Marine division under the direct command of Various Templars during its existence. The Division was called an Airborne Division due to all its forces operating in, or being transported and deployed by air and spacecraft, and infantry specialized in low orbital and atmospheric deployment. Comprised of a four squadron fighter group, two infantry regiments and two armored regiments it totaled 48 Starfighters, 10,000 troops, 200 tanks and ground vehicles, support personnel, and equipment. The 82nd was assigned to the Velox Group, the Naval Combat Group assigned directly to the Fleet Commander for its first 60 years of service. It was then transfered to the to the Remsian Marine Corps following the groups creation and eventually assigned to the Luminis Squadron. They were often however sent on missions away from their main group do to their skill and stealth. The 82nd performed highly specialized, small scale, high-risk operations such as: • Deep ground surveillance (DGS) • Direct action (DA) • Unconventional warfare • Counter-terrorism operations • Counter-contraband operations • Personnel and special equipment recovery/capture
