The Pictou County Wellness Centre is a facility located in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia that has 2 NHL sized hockey arenas (200'x85') (the 1,660 seat and expandable to 2,835 Sobey Arena and 144 seat Bell Aliant Arena). The facility also includes an Olympic sized pools, a gymnasium and a fitness centre. The arenas are owned by Pictou County and the balance of the facility is owned by the Pictou County YMCA The facility broke ground in August 2010 and opened on December 6, 2012 to a game between the Pictou County Crushers and the Bridgewater Lumberjacks. The facility lead to the closing of John Brother MacDonald Stadium (formerly New Glasgow Stadium). The facility is occupied by the Pictou County Crushers of the Maritime Junior A Hockey League, and the Weeks Major Bantam and Midgets teams. The facility also hosted the 2014 Major Midget Atlantics.
