George Edward Foreman (nicknamed "Big George") (born January 10, 1949) is a retired American professional boxer, former two-time World Heavyweight Champion, Olympic gold medalist, ordained Baptist minister, author and entrepreneur. Foreman won the champanionship in 1973 against Joe Frazier but lost it Muhammad Ali in 1974. While he did get another title shot against Jimmy Young in 1977 he lost. As he was already touring the country encouraging young Afro-Americans to stay in school as part of President Nixon's initiative to improve educational opportunities among minorities, he became more involved in the program and would stay with it until 1980. When Foreman stopped touring the country he argued that his success as a boxer was due to his healthy eating, which made him a perfect fit for Russell Hobbs Inc., who were looking for a spokesperson for their fat-reducing grill. The George Foreman Grill has resulted in sales of over 100 million units since it was first launched, a feat achieved in a little over 15 years. Making him a multi millioniare. File:ThCASD0ZCU.jpg
