Radar van (Generals 1)
rdfs:comment
Purchased from an Arms Dealer, the Radar Van provided a mobile source of radar for any GLA commander. The Radar Van could be upgraded with the Radar Scan technology, allowing it to periodically reveal areas of the battlefield otherwise not visible, and also reveal stealth units. As this unit was a non-combatant it is unable to gain veterancy by running down infantry or by collecting scraps from the battlefield.

n20:abstract
Purchased from an Arms Dealer, the Radar Van provided a mobile source of radar for any GLA commander. The Radar Van could be upgraded with the Radar Scan technology, allowing it to periodically reveal areas of the battlefield otherwise not visible, and also reveal stealth units. Whilst this unit was not a combat unit, it could be used in base patrols, with for example Quad cannon's which could detect, and quickly deal with enemy covert agents. This mobile radar solution also meant that unless the commander would not lose radar even if his command centre was affected by EMP. Of course this also meant that if the Radar Van was affected by EMP radar would go off-line unless he had several radar vans operational. As this unit was a non-combatant it is unable to gain veterancy by running down infantry or by collecting scraps from the battlefield.
