The Dorvain General Election, 1838 was held on the 27th May 1838 to elect the Eleventh Parliament of the Commonwealth of Dorvain. Each of the 125 parliamentary constituencies elected one Member of Parliament to Parliament. The election was overshadowed by the death of Arnold III, but more prominently the corrination Margaret I. The new Queen was popular amongst the population, and this coupled with Thomas Cameron's vigorous campaigning least to the Royalists ending their spell in opposition and returning to Parliament as the governing party. Daniel Jackson took over as Prime Senator a year prior; Bernard Clegg resigned in 1837 in order to give Jackson time in power, in an attempt to make him look competent to the electorate.
