Much of Fu Manchu's life is unknown, Fu Manchu is not even his real name, it is simply an alias. His true name is unknown. All that is known of Fu Manchu is that he was born in Tibet and became a crime boss sometime in his late 20's. He also trained excessively in martial arts. He has mastered arts such as White Crane Kung Fu, Daito ryu-aikijujitsu, Muay Thai, Pentjak Silat, and Bokh (Mongolian Wrestling). He pushed his body to the peak of the normal human. Fu Manchu and a journalist, whom he had fallen in love with, had a son. This son was Shang Chi. Fu Manchu did not love his son, he was simply using him for missions and to carry out his dirty work. Shang Chi found out his father was the head of the Triad, and the two had a battle. It ended when a weakened and badly beaten Shang Chi shot his father in the chest, causing Fu Manchu to fall off of his destroyed mansion and into an abyss (the mansion was built into a cliff).
