USS Daedalus (prototype)
rdfs:comment
The USS Daedalus (NX-129 and later NCC-129) was the prototype of the Daedalus-class Federation exploration starship in Starfleet service in the late 22nd century. The ship originated as an Earth Starfleet cruiser ship registered by United Earth, as UES Daedalus (CLM-127). (The Starfleet Museum) Daedalus completed construction in 2161 at the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards, and Captain Hiro Matsura became the first commander of the Daedalus and her crew of 230. (Starfleet: Year One) The surveyor Daedalus was eventually scrapped. (Trekmania)

n11:abstract
The USS Daedalus (NX-129 and later NCC-129) was the prototype of the Daedalus-class Federation exploration starship in Starfleet service in the late 22nd century. The ship originated as an Earth Starfleet cruiser ship registered by United Earth, as UES Daedalus (CLM-127). (The Starfleet Museum) Daedalus completed construction in 2161 at the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards, and Captain Hiro Matsura became the first commander of the Daedalus and her crew of 230. (Starfleet: Year One) In 2266 the Daedalus, commanded by Fleet Captain Christopher Pike assisted the temporally displaced USS Enterprise and USS Enterprise-A in returning the Doomsday Machine to the 24th century where it could be destroyed. Unfortunately, a baffle plate ruptured and exposed several cadets to delta radiation. Pike managed to save the cadets but in the process suffered severe radiation poisoning. The Daedalus made it to Starbase 11 where Pike received the best medical treatment. (Star Trek: New Voyages: "In Harm's Way") A team from Shadowstar Station conveyed the museum ship Daedalus to the Smithsonian Annex at Columbiad Composite in March, 2295. En route, the team discovered a temporal anomaly in the Ilo Manitou system. (Star Trek: Shadowstar Station: "Through the Looking Glass") The surveyor Daedalus was eventually scrapped. (Trekmania) In different realities, Daedalus has had different designations. * NCC-129, NX-129 (STNV) * Cruiser NCC-150 (The Starfleet Museum) * Surveyor NCC-170 (Trekmania) * Exploration craft NCC-170 (Jackill's Daedalus-class Technical Readout Data Sheets)
