In order to do so, conservatives often refuse to ratify the United Nations Conventions of the Rights of the Child, in which Article 14 prevents CIA. Because of conservatives, South Sudan, Somalia and the United States are the only countries who have not ratified these laws. Conservatives are also bigoted enough still not to ratify the CEDAW, which stops conservatives like Fred Phelps from beating their wives. Sometimes, along with CII, they use a secondary "persuasion" method while indoctrinating them. This method, however, has changed throughout the years. When it was 1000 CE, conservatives thought "Spare the rod, spoil the child". However, in the 1950s, this was changed into "Spare the paddle, spoil the child", as corrupt conservative justices in the Supreme Court ruled that the 8th Amendment did not apply to children in Ingraham v. Wright.
