Richie Hansen (born October 30, 1955 in Northport, New York) is a retired professional ice hockey centre who played 14 games in the National Hockey League. He played for the New York Islanders and St. Louis Blues. He played junior hockey for the Sudbury Wolves from 1972 to 1975 and was chosen 119th overall by the New York Islanders in the 1975 NHL Amateur Draft. Turning pro with the Erie Blades in 1975-76, Hansen stayed buried for the most part in the minor pro system of one of the stronger NHL teams of this time. In four seasons he got into only 18 games for the Islanders. In 1979 Hansen was transferred to the Minnesota North Stars as compensation for the signing of Jean Potvin. The North Stars immediately traded him to the St. Louis Blues for a draft choice. He only played two games for the Blues. In 1983 he signed with the North Stars as a free agent but retired in 1984 after playing the whole season for the Salt Lake Golden Eagles. In the NHL Hansen played in 20 games and scored 2 goals and 8 assists.
