n4:abstract
DC's 1st Post-Official Team Tournament Extravaganza was a uniquely formatted tournament that tried to break away from standard ideals and promote teamwork across various events. It was hosted by Dark Chrysalis in late 2014 through early 2015. Teams of 7 people entered the tournament together and competed against other teams. Each team consisted of a member from each of 7 divisions, D1 through D7. Each team then completed various challenges, usually based on getting a target or highest raw score, to accumulate as many credits as they could. The credits came directly from the prize pool, and each team's earnings were split evenly among all 7 members when the tournament ended. A total of 11 teams and 77 participants entered the tournament. The tournament was an elimination tournament, and the bottom 2 or 3 teams based on accumulated credits were eliminated after even-numbered rounds (2 teams were eliminated after round 2, 3 after round 4, and 3 after round 6). Thus, 3 remaining teams went on to the semi-finals and finals. A total of 8 rounds were planned, but unfortunately due to inactivity, only 7 rounds were played before it was mod-killed and credits were distributed accordingly.
