M821 Death Stalker Self Propelled Anti-Aircraft Gun
rdfs:comment
The M810 Deathstalker Self Propelled Hybrid Anti Aircraft gun was a heavily modified Scorpion MBT modified for anti aircraft warefare. The second major refit of the Scorpion after the Deathstalker, the Fattail (also know phonetically as the 'Sp-hag' and the 'Fatty') uses a Misriah 40mm autogun in a dual set up, complemented by eight Slamdunk SAMs with a computer guidance system that can track air targets and target them without human input. The weapon, although computer controlled, can be taken off and put over to control of the driver, for use should the system malfunction or another, more darker reason. As of late, a growing trend with gunners is to use the guns as anti-infantry guns, the high explosive shells being potent anti-infantry weapons.

n34:abstract
The primary armament for short to medium range engagement are two M309 Automatic Cannons. These forty millimetre canons are self loading and can achieve a cyclic rate of 2000 rounds per minute. It fires a mixture of high explosive incendiary and high explosive rounds, to achieve maximum damage against aircraft, often achieving an extremely high kill probability. The cannons are fitted with recoil compensator to keep them stable under high rates of fire. The guns themselves are fitted with highly efficient Doppler cooling system, utilising LASER and the Doppler effect to cool the guns, even under constant fire. The guns can traverse to near vertical, and traverse down slightly, allowing it to engage forces on the ground. The guns can be quick loaded by removing the two ammunition drums through a hatch on the rear and reloading them with two battle ready drums, which are loaded by a quick cycle. The MIM-44 Slamdunk surface to air missiles are kept in two separate groups of four and, like the guns, can be traversed upwards. These missiles use the RADAR to achieve lock on. Once launched, these missiles continue to use the RADAR, as well as optical, infra-red and ultra-violet seekers, and the ability to act as a jam homing missiles against aircraft attempting to jam the RADAR. The missiles are highly lethal, and can achieve a range of 15 kilometres, and can track via other ground or air based RADARs, without having to use the Fattail's RADAR systems. The missiles can be reloaded from the rear as one tube, or as part of a four missile bloc.
