His Honour Richard Owen Roberts (3 September 1876 – 12 September 1929) was a judge and local politician. Born on the Isle of Anglesey, North Wales, he was educated at Holborn Estate Grammar School and King’s College London. He was called to the bar at the Middle Temple in 1902. Active in Conservative politics, in 1910 and 1923 he unsuccessfully sought election as MP for Anglesey. In 1924 he was appointed a County Court Judge for Chester and North Wales Circuit, holding the office until his death.

His Honour Richard Owen Roberts (3 September 1876 – 12 September 1929) was a judge and local politician. Born on the Isle of Anglesey, North Wales, he was educated at Holborn Estate Grammar School and King’s College London. He was called to the bar at the Middle Temple in 1902. Active in Conservative politics, in 1910 and 1923 he unsuccessfully sought election as MP for Anglesey. He was a member of the Municipal Reform Party, the Conservative-backed party on the London County Council. He failed to be elected as a councillor for Newington West in 1910 and 1913. He was co-opted to represent Lewisham in 1918. At the next council election in 1919 he was elected to represent Lewisham East, holding the seat until 1925. He was chairman of the county council's main drainage committee from 1919-22. In 1924 he was appointed a County Court Judge for Chester and North Wales Circuit, holding the office until his death.
