The United States, officially the United States of America, is one of the two only nations in the American Continents, with the other being Brazil. It is one of the Big Four nations, having one of the best economies, militaries, governments, and technologies. The United States spans the whole American continents (with the exception of French-ruled areas and Brazil), American Eastern Siberia, Micronesia, Melanesia, Australia, Malaya, and the American East Indies. The country was formed during the American Revolution, when the country fought a war against Britain to achieve independence. It was also formed by the ideology of freedom and liberty, which was one of the causes of the Revolution. During 1812, it supported pro-democratic protestors and revolutionaries in the Spanish American colonies. This led to the restarting of the Napoleonic Wars in Europe when France supported America. During the War of 1812, America won Spain and Britain's (though some were given to France) American colonies . SInce them, it entered a period of industrialization and imperialism, quickly becoming one of the most powerful nations in the world.
