Note that the title our continuing mission is included in the speech, discovering scientific phenomena - which is one of the main plot points of other Star Trek canon - is one of their goals, "new life" is now "new life-forms" in keeping with Spock's speech at the end of Wrath of Khan, and "where no one has gone before" has been changed to "where none have gone before", since many Federation members, like the Bynar, aren't individuals, and "nobody" wouldn't fit for energy or fluid-based life forms (e.g Changelings) Star Trek: Our Continuing Mission is a series planned to follow Captain Alexander Chase of the transwarp exploration vessel USS Enterprise (NCC 1701-F), a specially commissioned vessel with light armament and heavy shielding, leaving the crew to deal with dangerous situations armed with only wit, know-how and luck. Captain Chase commissioned and designed this vessel after Romulan terrorists, known as the Talons of Vengeance, commandeered the USS Enterprise (NCC 1701-E) under command of Captain Jane Uhura and destroyed several Federation outposts and vessels before being critically damaged and landing a suicide run on Armstrong City on the Moon. Captain Chase's wife, brother and twin children all died during the attack. The Enterprise- F is crewed by Captain Chase, the male Andorian first officer Talak Shy'ras, the Bynar chief engineers 01001100 (aka 010) and 01101111 (aka 011), science officer Wesley Crusher, female Romulan chief of security Sakree, male Klingon tactical officer Kron, male Maianite ship's doctor Mava Alan, female Deltan ship's counsellor Cilian and the Voth ensign Mava Sauralin.
