Blu-Ray Discs Blu-ray Discs
rdfs:comment
Developed in 2000, offically released in 2006, Blu-ray Discs have become the standard medium for Doctor Who releases since the mid-to-late 2000s. In 2008, ITV Studios (UK) released the Thunderbirds series on the new Blu-ray format, these discs are multi-region and to date (2016) have only been produced in 4 countries (UK, Australia, USA and Japan) as several options are available on the discs that allows you to view in different languages or sub titles. In 2013, Geneon Universal released the entire series on Blu-Ray in Japan. The transfers are the same as the British Blu-Ray, but the aspect ratio is the original 4:3. This set is significantly, perhaps even unreasonably, more pricy, retailing for upwards of £300 (or c. $400 USD).
