n36:abstract
The Bracer Guild (遊撃士協会, yuugeki-shi kyoukai) was founded in approximately S1152 in Leman. Bracers are investigative and combat specialists who work to protect civilians and maintain the stability of their respective regions. They aid the community in various ways such as exterminating monsters, preventing crime, finding lost items, and escorting people and goods. The Bracer Guild, which has established branches across the continent manages the affairs of the bracers in each region. Due to its international and neutral nature, it often mediates between disputing powers, and it even played a role in ending the Hundred Days War and several other large-scale incidents in west Zemuria. However, as a consequence of the various roles the Bracer Guild is required to fulfill, it is often short-handed. Furthermore, the Bracer Guild has a long-standing policy of non-intervention when it comes to a nation's military, as stated in Article Three of the guild code: "Bracers and Non-Involvement in Military or Political Matters. A bracer will recognize a nation's sovereignty, and may not interfere with nor arrest any person of national military or political standing." Sora no Kiseki FC revealed, however, that there exists a loophole in the aforementioned policy as Article Two of the guild code states: "Bracers and Their Duty to the People. In the event of unjust imperilment of citizens, the bracer's sworn duty is to bear the responsibility for the citizen(s)' safety."
