The System
rdfs:comment
The System is how people are brought back from the dead. Little is known about it, however it has been known to fail (resulting in permanent death) or return passengers with... changes. A killed passenger will reappear in their room 24 hours later with their belongings scattered across the ship. The System was the name of a computer network which was the controlling authority of a highly advanced alien civilisation, the original builders of the Liberator. Magic on Erwt is the result of the (most often subconscious) movement of higher-dimensional limbs. John Boy has been tutoring a football player who is at Boatwright University on a scholarship. This young man, Tom, has an ambition to become a lawyer and return to his hometown to help his people. During his crucial exam however, which he must pass to remain at the college, he is seen by John Boy, looking at the work of another student. John Boy has been told that there is an "honor code" at the University and it is the duty of any student who sees such instances of cheating, to turn the offending student in, or to risk being failed himself because of it. John Boy is in a quandary though, because he has seen Tom cheating, but doesn't want to find himself disqualified because of it, yet he doesn't want to turn Tom in. He can't ignore it because another student witnessed it too. So I've been remiss. While had mentioned in the PAQ some of the details about the network and the system, I had not thoroughly explained the way the system works. As I've mentioned to a couple of you, the post format is much like livejournal, without userpics or usernames, instead, the name appearing on their door would be there. The System was an American synth-pop duo whose song "The Pleasure Seekers" appeared in the episode "The Prodigal Son" of the show Miami Vice. "The System" is a song by English rapper Yung Trace. The song is mainly focused on how society (The System) is corrupt and how people need to make a change to improve it. The System claimed position '5' on Yung Trace's second studio album Yung Trace 2.

"The System" is a song by English rapper Yung Trace. The song is mainly focused on how society (The System) is corrupt and how people need to make a change to improve it. The System claimed position '5' on Yung Trace's second studio album Yung Trace 2. Magic on Erwt is the result of the (most often subconscious) movement of higher-dimensional limbs. So I've been remiss. While had mentioned in the PAQ some of the details about the network and the system, I had not thoroughly explained the way the system works. As I've mentioned to a couple of you, the post format is much like livejournal, without userpics or usernames, instead, the name appearing on their door would be there. The device itself looks like a palm pilot, or even a bit like an iPhone. You use a stylus pen with it, which is stored in the side like a palm pilot would be. These cannot be turned off. There is a speaker, a mic, and a camera in each device, the placement of these would be more akin to a phone. The main menu, which will be what is normally displayed when your character has it out lays out the options your character has, in button form, like an iPhone. For the moment, those options are: "Contacts", "Access the System", "Text Post", "Video Post", "Voice Post", "Documents", "Office Suite", "Connect to Terminal." [For the most part, the computer terminals have these same options, the exception being that it would have "Connect to PDA" instead of terminal.) John Boy has been tutoring a football player who is at Boatwright University on a scholarship. John Boy offers to defend Tom at the hearing, claiming that the system is wrong, and it should be the University staff, not the students, who should be responsible for finding and reporting those who cheat at exam time. He is persuasive enough to have Tom's charge reduced and he is suspended, rather than expelled. Jason is facing a quandary of his own when he spots Ben secretly smoking. Jason approaches Grandpa for advice and Zeb takes Ben fishing, begins smoking himself and offers one to Ben. He makes sure that Ben smokes the cigarette "properly" and Ben becomes so sick that he is cured of smoking forever The System was an American synth-pop duo whose song "The Pleasure Seekers" appeared in the episode "The Prodigal Son" of the show Miami Vice.
