The Toj Lol vessels were intended to serve as an exploration craft and eventually served as a small research ship as well as diplomatic courier on the side of the Coalition of Planets allies during the Earth-Romulan War. Entering service on reference stardate 0/8703, 91 vessels of the Toj Lol series were built over the vessel's design lifetime. (FASA RPG module: The Romulan War) The source material specifies Federation allegiance for all allied vessels in the Romulan War, but later canon contradicts this in stating that this was prior to the Federation founding. In accordance with the canon version, these vessels are referred to as Coalition of Planets allies for the purposes of this wiki.
