Homeschooling
rdfs:comment
Homeschooling is a way of educating children at home. In USA, it is allowed and it should be in other countries. The original idea of homeschooling was to educate children who would do better home than in American public schools. The psychological effect of school makes children less interested in learning things, after all they're forced to study rather than exploring things on their own. The parents who educate their children this way are most likely to be very educated themselves. Unfortunately, it is often used by conservatives as a means of feeding religious propaganda to their children. Homeschooling is a means of education whereby the parent(s) or hired tutor is the primary teacher and selector of curricula elements, most of which take place within the vicinity of the home of the student(s). For Pagan families in the United States and Canada, the popularity of homeschooling as a means of religiously-intensive primary education (especially in both Protestant Christian and Muslim households) may strike a chord of appeal, given the lack of such accommodation for Neopagan beliefs and practices within the curricula of both secular public and sectarian private schools.
