The Bay of Anus invasion was a surprise attack made by the United States Military, much like the Inchon landings during the Korean War. Fidel Castro's Cuba had taken control of Miami, Florida by default in the years following 1959, and Cuba's armies were threatening to advance north of the Dade-Broward county line, which would upset the quaint retirement community and top secret Air Force bases that resided there. Bay of Pigs is a bay located on the south coast of Cuba. In 2003 when Colonel Jack O'Neill was in Honduras to save Dr Daniel Jackson and Dr Bill Lee from Hondurans rebels, O'Neill met the CIA agent Burke in Honduras that would help him to rescue Jackson and Lee. When O'Neill asked Burke what kind of weapons that the rebels were using. Burke replied that they used weapons like what Nicaragua got from Russia as the 1980s inherited their old stuff from Cuba. Then Burke joked that they could let them fight Cuba from their shores, they got our butts kicked. Cuba gave them weapons and that they be shot at by a Kalashnikov AK-47 who was fired at the Bay of Pigs attack. (SG1: "Evolution, Part 2")
