Matthew of Locksley
rdfs:comment
Matthew was a villager of Locksley, the brother of Kate and Maggie and the son of Rebecca. In the second episode of the third season, he was taken away by Sheriff Vaisey's men to be sold to the Irish and drafted into their army. He was killed by Guy of Gisborne while trying to save Kate, who was being threatened by Gisborne. His character was created so Gisborne could kill him and thus Kate would have something against him, and another unrelated reason: his death put sense into Gisborne, and thus being the last person killed by Gisborne.

In The Enemy of My Enemy, Kate was about to kill Gisborne to avenge Matthew, but was stopped by Robin.
