Cliff Gerrard (died 2000) was a Lancashire poet and writer who contibuted 4 episodes of Coronation Street between October 1981 and May 1982, one co-written with Leslie Duxbury. He also wrote the poem To Sarah which was recited by Albert Tatlock in Episode 1805 (3rd May 1978) at a Lancashire night in the Rovers. Born in St. Helens, for many years from the 1970s he contributed to the magazine Wigan Scene and later became its editor. Apart from a short spell living in Wigan, he lived most of his life in St. Helens and died there a short time after suffering a stroke.

The poem To Sarah, along with several other of his poems, was set to music and included on an LP by The Oldham Tinkers entitled Best O' T' Bunch in 1974 and Sit Thee Down in the late 1970s as well as on a compilation album by Colin Bean.
