Rick Goldring is a financial planner and member of the Burlington City Council in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. He represents Ward 5 in the southeast portion of the City. He was first elected in November, 2006. Earlier in 2006, Goldring represented the Green Party of Canada as a candidate for the Canadian House of Commons in that year's federal election, running for the position of Member of Parliament (M.P.) in the federal riding of Burlington. He finished fourth, behind successful Conservative candidate Mike Wallace, defeated former Liberal M.P. Paddy Torsney, and New Democratic Party (N.D.P.) candidate David Laird.
