Moving to the United states in the late 1930s, he returned to Lovia having made some money. He bought The National Post, which would become his main income generator. In 1963, he married famed actress Florentine Fortesque, and they were together until his death in 1973. It is said that Woodrow was the inspiration behind Rich Man's Pursuit.
