The Vs. Recorder is an item found in Pokémon Platinum for the Nintendo DS. The item wasn't found in the predecessors Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. It resembles a blue rectangle with a screen in the middle and an emblem of a Poké Ball at the top (it vaguely resembles Apple's iPhone). The Vs. Recorder will give the player the option to save videos of battles he or she's just performed in. Not all battles can be saved. In fact, very few can. Battles that can be saved include fights that took place in the Battle Frontier and linked battles. After saving the battle, you can go to the Battle Video Corner of the Global Terminal and post the videos so other trainers all over the world can see.
