The State
rdfs:comment
-From 'About The State Military' The State was the largest military guild in Graal. Nearly all militaries currently in existence are inspired from it's organization, mission, and doctrine. While originally not intended to be a military, circumstances began moving the originally democratic and peaceful guild into a military dictatorship. The State is most closely associated with one of it's founders and long-time dictator, Auel Vist. However, many people have lead The State throughout it's lifetime besides Auel V. Some other leaders include General Kage Auel Kusan, General Viral Cruel, Colonel Sherlock Zor, General Pierce Kusan Vist, General Vulnus K. Consilim, General Morzan, Prime Minister James, Chancellor Roanoke Han, General Xinke Magnus, and King Rohan. The State is their second album. Leader of Men was the lead single from this album followed by "Old Enough", "Breathe" and "Worthy to Say". "Leader of Men" held a peak position of #130 on the Billboard 200. The album also held a peak position on Billboard Top Heatseekers Albums charts position #3 in 2000. The album went Platinum in Canada in April 2002 and went Platinum in 2008 in the United States. The State is the governing body which is metaphysically linked to "affairs" by the word "of", giving rise to the phrase "state of affairs". The state is responsible for controlling the affairs linked to it by sentence structures in the various babblings of philosophers. Although science cannot determine exactly when the first state emerged, logicians have determined that it emerged alongside the first affairs. Probably an essential key to understanding Gen-X American college humor, The State was MTV's first true Sketch Comedy. Featuring a cast/crew of eleven twentysomethings which first coalesced as an improv/sketch group at NYU, it brought some of the most gleefully Dadaistic comedy in history to the airwaves. The show ran for four seasons before the creators made an ill-advised decision to jump to CBS (who canceled them after one special). A surprising number of the group have since gone on to greater things, frequently working together on such shows as Reno 911, Viva Variety, Stella, and Stella's spiritual successor Michael And Michael Have Issues. The Ninjas and Pirates war had waged on for centuries…that is until the State arrived. Equipped with the latest technology, powerful alchemy, and an array of skilled warriors these “defenders of peace” arose to put an end to the Ninja and Pirate battle. Fighting both fronts for years, the State was able to push the Ninja and Pirate forces back to their respective homelands. In the process of doing so, the State was able to acquire the majority of the planet and place it under its control. The State was a rather secretive alliance located on the Black team. It was protected by Nordreich. It was led by John A MacDonald, who acted as the de jure leader of the alliance. When absent, MacDonald's long time ally SirMaximus took over the alliance. "Earth is a very grim and very overcrowded dystopia, tightly controlled by "The State," which has attempted to extend its rule to an interstellar empire by seeding planets around nearby stars with life, then planting colonies. But the State finds that distant colony worlds elude its iron grip. One such colony is the unique "Smoke Ring": circling a star is a torus of atmosphere, inhabited by alien animals, enormous "integral trees," and humans which have adapted to live in zero-gee."

Probably an essential key to understanding Gen-X American college humor, The State was MTV's first true Sketch Comedy. No one knows where the State came from and where its massive amount of power came from. Some say it was nothing more than a collection non-pirate and non-ninja folks that grew tired of the war. Others say they are a divine force not from this planet. Either way, most people can agree that the State is a very powerful force that should not be taunted. -From 'About The State Military' The State was the largest military guild in Graal.
