Gendarme Gendarme Gendarme
rdfs:comment
Gendarme is a French word referring to a member of the genarmerie, or police force. In a Q-created alternate 2332, Captain Jean-Luc Picard visited the home of his mother and father who, unwilling to believe this stranger was their son, threatened to call the gendarmes on the stranger. (TNG comic: "The Gift") When they come, it is usually to bring us back to Mother. A beastly man with a foreignish accent and the hat of a fool. He follows us around unseen (we reckon, as we can't see him). We also suspect him of writing down our mishaps, exploits and victories (in descending order of occurence), in order to entertain our elders and superiors. The most dangerous Gendarmes live inside of us. Gendarme m. (plural Gendarmes) 1. * A member of the gendarmerie, a military body charged with police duties. 2. * firebug (the insect) The Gendarme is a space battleship from the Turn A Gundam series.
