Other forms of business include Sole proprietorship and Partnership. Corporation (sometimes referred to in-game as "The Corporation") is a somewhat advanced technology in the Civilization games. Corporation is a cyberpunk themed RPG published by Brutal Games set five hundred years in the future, where five huge corporations battle for control of the planet under the watchful eyes of the United International Government. The players are `Agents` in service of these Corporations, highly trained cyborgs who don't feel pain and laugh off organ trauma thank to their upgrades. There are five main Corporations in the world. Ai-Jinn: Formed out of almost every organised crime group in the world, the Ai-Jinn control the China, the Middle East and much of Southeast Asia. They're legitimate business is heavy manufacturing, mining and industry. They also have unique access to Far Drive, the settings faster than light travel mechanism. Comoros: Controls India and Africa. Comoros are the poorest of the Corporations, but they also possess the most powerful psychics in the setting. They are in charge of education and culture, and also fund a lot of other projects, from charity work to terrorism. Eurasian Incorporated: Formed from a merger of the EU with Russia, EI is by far the richest corporation, owning an entire planet built for them by the Ai-Jinn. They run medical care services and leisure facilities, and their agents are known for being wild and hedonistic...and extremely undisciplined. Shi Yukiro: Rule Japan and create most hi-tech electronics. They specalise in high tech electronics; most computer systems in the world are made by them. Their agents are given special ion weapons, usually katanas, when they reach a certain level. Western Federation: Control North America in a police state. The WF creates and sells most of the world's firearms, and run a tight, military culture within their corporation's ranks. They also control the media shown, meaning that their agent's brave deeds in the field are often filmed and shown to the masses. The UIG, a combination of national governments stops these Corporations breaking out into out and out warfare, partially due to the alien technology given to them super-advanced A Is found on Venus called the Archons. Instead, underground, covert operations are the order of the day, and, if the players are caught, they may lose all their rights in a process called depersonalisation, under the UIG's harsh laws. Uses a 2D10 system rolling under a target (usually stat+skill). There are many corporations in the Nova galaxy, and their influence spreads far and wide. Companies such as Pyrogenesis, Sigma Shipyards, Gli-tech, and others produce weapons, ships, food, outfits, trade goods, and many, many other products. The corporation is an entity which, while being controlled by a small number of living persons and controlling a much greater number, exists completely separately from these people. This gives the Corporation unique powers, unmatched by any other entity in the Universe. Most secondary corporate properties are unknown, but lead to corporations being despised by nearly all liberals and being given a tax-cut by nearly all conservatives. It has been scientifericiously proven that only 8 corporations may exist in the entire world at any given time, so what you are looking at may be an "old-fashioned concern" of interest only to unemployed complainers and people from the "old world." It has also been scientifericiously proven that the Corporation is a hungry unstoppable psychopathic monster. It has not been so rigourously proven, but claimed that corporations are caring entities which are the engine behind sound and sustainable development, a more caring society and the continual development and improvement of photocopy machine room resource management. Examples of real-world corporations include the Extra Inter-Union Aerospace Index Entity, MORE AND MORE Inc., and the Regional Joint Holdings Merger Conglomerate Group Ltd. Unlimited. The latter is known for its human beings consumption. Corporations earned the right to be treated as human beings in the landmark Faceless vs. US Government case. This is due to the blindingly obvious fact that they are people, to which anyone passing them on the street will attest. However, they are definitely distinguished by their superpowers, such as News Corps's ability to make every single preteen girl and homosexual in America watch American Idol. Viewers of the show are usually then immediately seen afterwards walking like zombies to purchase tampons and iPods. The Corporation is a nightclub in Sheffield, England. Originally based in the north of the city centre, near Castle Market, it moved to the former Unit nightclub in the Devonshire Quarter in the early 2000s. The club is known for playing a variety of rock music, although it has at times hosted nights playing other genres of music. It puts on live acts in one of two ground floor spaces and also has a first floor room with a balcony above. A corporation is a group of players in EVE. It is an organisation similar to guilds and clans from other massively multiplayer online (MMO) games. Players may form their own corporations or, subject to approval, join existing ones. A corporation is a legal personality, usually used to conduct business. There are two types of government owned corporations. These are state corporations and National corporations. The only difference between the two types is that national corporations cannot be purchased by an enterprise. Enterprise CEO's can purchase state corporations from governments. When a state corporation is purchased by an Enterprise, it becomes a private corporation. You may decide to keep several industries under control of the state. These may be weapon factories, or some high value corporations. The reasons are up to the president. It is possible to change the status of a corporation and make it a national industry. However, only twenty corporations may be national. If you already have twenty national corporations and you want to make a different corporation a national industry, you must first change the status of one of the national industries into a state corporation. State corporations, including the national corporations, pay taxes to the government. The percentage of the tax payments can be changed but very high taxes will destroy the capability of the corporations to function. In addition, state corporations pay some of their profit after tax to the corporation owner, which is again the government. Also the percentage of these payments may be set by the president. If you want to prevent any takeover of any of your corporations, you can block CEOs. All your corporations will remain state corporations. We strongly advise against it as the profits of state corporations and mainly their contributions to the state, are lower than the contributions by private and public corporations Navigate: Investing Glossary...
