Injury Injury
rdfs:comment
For PvP injuries, your own flag must be involved in a war with the flag whose ship is engaged. Simply jobbing aboard the ship of a flag that is at war is not enough. In a sinking blockade, everybody on the sinking ship has a chance of an injury. Another way to look at this is that in all cases, if you had sailed into the engagement on your own flag's ship, and the engagement would still be sinking, you risk an injury. Injuries can be removed by purchasing the appropriate potion from the apothecary and using it. Injuries will lower both your character's mobility and also, until they heal, his/her mastery of any physical skills. If the injury penalty is -12% and his/her sword skill level is 42%, the effective skill level is 30%. Serious cuts may get opened and cause bleeding during the cause of treatment. Rituals like Blood-Staunching Prayer increase Physician skill to 95, and Blood-Staunching Incantation immediately stop bleeding to prevent blood loss. Injuries are a feature in The Last Stand: Dead Zone. Injury occurs when a hero is under-levelled and/or under-equipped for a certain quest. When a hero is injured, they will have to spend a certain amount of time healing, equal to a percentage of the time the quest took. Like with most things, healing can be rushed by spending File:Misc GemIcon.png. While injured, the hero will be unable to be sent on other quests. Injury is a chemical found in an injured creature. Creatures will suffer injury if they are sick or fall from a great height. A high amount of injury in a creature's bloodstream can lead to death. See "what links here." * Special:Whatlinkshere/Injury In the Duke lacrosse case it was alleged at different times that injuries had been suffered by the accuser, Crystal Gail Mangum. These alleged injuries were sometimes said to be evidence that she had in fact suffered some form of assault; however, when her behavior was shown to be inconsistent with her alleged injuries, it cast significant doubt on the truthfulness of her account. On May 1, 2006 Newsweek reported "the young woman who suffered injuries that appear to be caused by a sexual assault."

Ringers will not transfer the injury to an alt, or add an injury for any other reason. Injuries are a feature in The Last Stand: Dead Zone. In the Duke lacrosse case it was alleged at different times that injuries had been suffered by the accuser, Crystal Gail Mangum. These alleged injuries were sometimes said to be evidence that she had in fact suffered some form of assault; however, when her behavior was shown to be inconsistent with her alleged injuries, it cast significant doubt on the truthfulness of her account. On May 1, 2006 Newsweek reported "the young woman who suffered injuries that appear to be caused by a sexual assault." However, 60 Minutes later broadcast footage of Mangum doing an athletic pole dance at the Platinum Club in Hillsborough, a strip club, on March 25 or March 26. Such athletic activity is generally considered inconsistent with the pain that Sgt. Mark Gottlieb claimed Mangum was displaying on March 16 or that Mangum complained of when trying to get refills for pain medication at two separate hospitals on March 28 and April 3. Injuries will lower both your character's mobility and also, until they heal, his/her mastery of any physical skills. If the injury penalty is -12% and his/her sword skill level is 42%, the effective skill level is 30%. There are plenty of ways to become injured in the Unreal World, not only during combat but also while climbing trees and steep terrain, skiing, or simply being out too long in the cold. Your character may also catch the flu if sleeping too much on the cold ground - or even a plague if traveling through a region where a plague has broken out. Eating some mushrooms raw might result in nausea or stomach-ache, while others may even result in lethal poisoning. A player should quickly, after being injured, try to heal him/herself using the physician skill while the wound is still fresh. When the injury is no longer fresh the character can't do anything about it. However, talking to a Sage will give the option to ask for healing. This is done for free and might speed up the natural healing process. Most injuries will heal themselves over time, but some may actually get worse before getting better... if the character doesn't die first. Serious cuts may get opened and cause bleeding during the cause of treatment. Rituals like Blood-Staunching Prayer increase Physician skill to 95, and Blood-Staunching Incantation immediately stop bleeding to prevent blood loss. Injury is a chemical found in an injured creature. Creatures will suffer injury if they are sick or fall from a great height. A high amount of injury in a creature's bloodstream can lead to death. See "what links here." * Special:Whatlinkshere/Injury Injury occurs when a hero is under-levelled and/or under-equipped for a certain quest. When a hero is injured, they will have to spend a certain amount of time healing, equal to a percentage of the time the quest took. Like with most things, healing can be rushed by spending File:Misc GemIcon.png. While injured, the hero will be unable to be sent on other quests. It has been confirmed by CloudCade Tadaaah that over-equipping heroes, therefore raising their power, to more than recommended actually reduces the chance of injury. It is said that because of the way power gets rounded up, even if a hero has the recommended power for a certain quest, they may actually be a couple of hundred short. It is therefore suggested to give a hero a few hundred more power than recommended, in order for them to actually have the correct amount and therefore reduce the risk of them returning injured.
