Neighbourly is a free private website created by New Zealanders for New Zealanders, aimed at helping people get to know their neighbours. By mid-2014 it had spread to the whole country, nearly 3,000 neighbourhoods. Members must provide real names and addresses, which are checked by management using telephone or letter. You are then a member of your neighbourhood and have access only to that neighbourhood and some nearby neighbourhoods. The street number may be kept hidden from other members. Menu items on the home page include Notice Board, Crime & Safety, and Lost & Found.
