The Case for Conquest: A Study of the Empire's Relationship with the P'w'eck Confederation was an academic paper written by Whirth scholar Dr. Sheqir Kysh in 146 ABY. In it, Kysh urged the Golden Empire to absorb the P'w'eck Confederation by any means necessary. Kysh felt allowing an alien government to exist, armed and on the Empire's border, was dangerous on a number of levels. Early the next year, Professor Maorin Keppallo authored Allegiance to Alliance in response. Keppallo and Kysh carried on a professional dialogue and debate until Keppallo's death in 149 ABY.
