He and his caravan were troubled by the bloodthirsty bandits that had taken advantage of the 10th Legion's lack of presence in the area; rightly so, as the Seck had kidnapped Nong's daughter, the witch Sikra, which prompted his nephew, the sorcerer Boryev to pursue her captors. This left the camp undefended against bandits, and it was in the nick of time when future Lady Montbarron arrived with her troupe of adventurers and soldiers to save the Lescanzi from complete annihilation at the hands of the bandits.
