Marcus Julius Volcinius was a Magna Roman Starfleet officer and a cousin of Lucius Sejanus. In 2364, Volcinius served aboard the USS Centurion under his cousin's command. When the Centurion was deployed to Tenara in order to defend the planet against the M'dok. Unfortunately the Tenarans were a peaceful people who refused to defend their world, so Volcinius set out to "reeducate" the population. He began teaching them Magna Roman history and had them trained as Magna Roman soldiers. He was eventually stopped and taken into custody by Worf. (TNG novel: The Captains' Honor)
