Set I of House Mede is the current Shah of Barmenia. He was installed in 3645 by the Imperial Revolutionary Committee under the colapse of the Black Horde and it's occupation of Barmenia. Set being the youngest son of his mother Shahbanu Nour I, the title should have fallen to Princess Dina and her descendants per the constitution of the old Felinist Republic. This was impossible - as the princess had been branded a traitor for her surrender to the Augustan Emperor. The new Shah's supporters however - formally being supporters of pan-Jelbic unity - invoked what they claimed to be the traditional way of succession among Jelbic peoples, succession by Ultimogeniture, tradition of inheritance by the last-born. The historical mandate for this way of succession has been disputed by various high-ranking historians and experts in Jelbic Studies.
