Gig GIG GiG
rdfs:comment
A Gig was one of the smallest of a ship's boats, with 4 oarsmen, used as the Captain's taxi, generally only in harbour as it wasn't very seaworthy. See Captain's gig Gig was a heimin woman and the leader of a Bloodspeaker cell of twenty maho-tsukai based near Tonfajutsen, on a shrine built to honor Gokuzi, the man who develop a fighting style that made farming implements into peasant weapons. Gig is an NPC in Xenosaga Episode III: Also sprach Zarathustra. A gig was a high maneuverable three-person vessel with limited armament. Gigs were used by Imperial fleet captains and admirals for personal transport. GiG was an Italian toy company that originally held the license to market Diaclone and Microchange toys in Italy. When Hasbro introduced the Transformers brand throughout much of the rest of the world, GiG rebranded its Diaclone toys as Trasformer (note spelling) in an attempt to exploit the global popularity of Transformers without paying royalties to Hasbro. However, Hasbro eventually pressured GiG to acquire a license for the Transformers property, although for the next several years, a smaller version of the old "Trasformer" logo would remain on GiG toys in addition to the larger, internationally known "Transformers" logo. During the day of the gig, the band member can click on the gig venue. Once they arrive there, they can invite other band members from phone to gather up there. When all the band members have arrived, Sims can perform gig on the available band instrument. Sims can perform jazz and rock in addition to blues and jam when they perform a gig. During performance, Sims can perform "Do Sweet Move" interaction if their skill level is higher than 5 with the corresponding instrument. After performing for 2 hours, Sims can report back to the mixologist to receive their payment. Sims will get higher payment if the band members are members of the household or if they have The Next Big Thing lifetime reward. Gig is the powerful "Master of Death" from Soul Nomad and the World Eaters, and is known for being sarcastic, loud, and overly rude to just about anyone he meets. He is also fond of using profanity. Gig is the final boss of Guilty Gear Dust Strikers, a massive insect-like creature with an angelic figure emerging from his tail. An undetailed and unusual character, he is known to be a Gear of some sort, referred to as a male despite the female figure attached to him, and appears to be acting against his own will. The acronym GIG may refer to: * Global Information Grid * Grid Infrastructure Group (Univ. of Chicago)

n13:abstract
The acronym GIG may refer to: * Global Information Grid * Grid Infrastructure Group (Univ. of Chicago) GiG was an Italian toy company that originally held the license to market Diaclone and Microchange toys in Italy. GiG is also known for renaming characters in strange ways (such as referring to Skydive as "Log") and for selling various pre-Transformers and Transformers toys that were otherwise unavailable outside of Japan, including the Microchange version of Blaster (which was a working AM radio) and Galaxy Shuttle. Distribution of Transformers toys in Italy was gradually shifted from GiG to the Italian Hasbro branch during the Beast Wars line. In the late 1990s, GiG was bought out by Giochi Preziosi. Gig was a heimin woman and the leader of a Bloodspeaker cell of twenty maho-tsukai based near Tonfajutsen, on a shrine built to honor Gokuzi, the man who develop a fighting style that made farming implements into peasant weapons. Gig is the powerful "Master of Death" from Soul Nomad and the World Eaters, and is known for being sarcastic, loud, and overly rude to just about anyone he meets. He is also fond of using profanity. Many players consider that receiving a gig is a rare occurrence. This is true because band opportunity is a skill opportunity, which means the chance to receive a gig is reduced if the Sim develops many other skills. Some band opportunities are also unique once the Sim has performed a certain amount of gigs, which means that it's impossible to receive some bar gigs when they're already too experienced. Lastly, a bug in The Sims 3: Into the Future causes Sims to receive skill opportunities much more rarely. In order to receive gigs outside Bridgeport, a lot needs to fulfill some requirements before the opportunity is available. Only bars and lounges are eligible for the opportunity. The lot also requires 4 of any band instruments and a mixologist. There's a mod from Mod The Sims that allows the players to audition for gig outside of bars and lounges, as long as the lot still has 4 band instruments and a role Sim.
