A common good. Furs is a sidetrade used to produce pelts, which can be sold for between 5-20 gold crowns each (higher price the further from the crafting spot) to rich merchants located in various cities. Furs is one of 31 Rare Resources in the game and available from the beginning. The resource appears as a group of four black bears on most maps and as white polar bears in snowy/arctic terrain. Like all rare resources on land, Furs can be gathered by sending a Merchant from the Market to the resource location. When gathered, they provide the following benefits: Furs are a non-consumable trade good. In Warband, it is best to buy them at Khudan and sell them at Veluca. In With Fire & Sword, furs are available in the marketplaces of Smolensk, Moscow, and Pskov. Furs are a luxury resource in many of the Civilization games.

Furs is one of 31 Rare Resources in the game and available from the beginning. The resource appears as a group of four black bears on most maps and as white polar bears in snowy/arctic terrain. Like all rare resources on land, Furs can be gathered by sending a Merchant from the Market to the resource location. When gathered, they provide the following benefits: * File:Food.jpg Food gather rate +10 * File:Metal.jpg Metal gather rate +10 * Cost of File:Military Research Icon.png Military Research reduced by 25%. File:Furs.jpg The gather rates from all rare resources can be increased in various ways, as described in the main article. Also remember, Metal cannot be gathered while still in the File:Ancient age small.jpg Ancient Age and a nation needs to advance to the File:Classical age small.jpg Classical Age in order to gain full benefit from this resource. File:Furs (Arctic).jpg Furs is one of the five rare resources to reduce research cost, with the other four being Dye, Papyrus, Silk and Silver. The cost reduction is quite significant, so if Furs happen to be available nearby, they should be hooked up as soon as possible. Furs are a non-consumable trade good. In Warband, it is best to buy them at Khudan and sell them at Veluca. In With Fire & Sword, furs are available in the marketplaces of Smolensk, Moscow, and Pskov. Furs are a luxury resource in many of the Civilization games. Furs is a sidetrade used to produce pelts, which can be sold for between 5-20 gold crowns each (higher price the further from the crafting spot) to rich merchants located in various cities. A common good.
