Skill point Skill Point
rdfs:comment
Skill points are points that you receive that can be spent to boost certain attributes of your character. Skill Points (aka. SP) are used by Player Characters to learn skills, enchant skills and increase Clan level. They can be earned by killing monsters, completing quests or by the use of SP Scrolls. Skill points are used to buy skills from skill trainers. Each skill costs one skill point and a certain amount of money. The first skill purchased costs 50 Image:Gold.png, and the price increases gradually up to a cap of 1 Image:Platinum.png on the 20th skill. The total number of unredeemed skill points is listed in the hero panel. These points may be spent to increase a current skill ability or to learn a new ability. Once a skill point has been spent, the only way to re-allocate it is to visit a Trainer who works out of the various blacksmith shops. The cost to retrain a skill goes up each time the Pirate re-learns it. Basic members can only spend 2 skill points on a skill. Unlimited Members can put 5 skill points on a skill. The cost to retrain * 250 gold first time * 2,500 gold second time * 10,000 gold after retraining 3+ times, and there on out. Skill Points are things given to the Vestige after completing quests. Skill points are one of the only ways to increase the power of your Shaper, the others being Canisters, The Geneforge, and trainers. Every level you receive 5 skill points and they can be used to increase your primary stats, your melee stats, your magic stats, your shaping stats, and your Mechanics, Leadership, and Luck skills. In the original Geneforge, skill costs did not increase every time you applied skill points. In later games, they increased every 2 skill-ups. Skill points were special or exceptional things that Ratchet could complete in the Ratchet & Clank series. They were used to unlock secrets, bonuses, and in most of the games, cheats from the Cheats Menu. The actual method of completing skill points was not told in the games, apart from Ratchet: Deadlocked, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault, and Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus until completing them. Certain books, traits and perks give the player a skill point bonus for a specific skill as well. Skill points are a measure of a character's ability to gain and improve skills. At each level, a character gains skill points and spends them to buy skill ranks. Each skill point buys 1 rank in a class skill or ½ rank in a cross-class skill. Skill Points are your "currency" to "buy" Skills. Every time you level up, you are granted a certain amount of Skill Points : Easy Mode : 3 Skill Points per level Normal Mode : 2 Initial Points + 3 Skill Points per level Hard Mode : 1 Initial Point + 4 Skill Points per level Ultimate Mode : 5 Skill Points per level Each skill requires a certain amount of Skill Point to acquire or level up. Since you have a limited amount of Skill Points, it is recommended to save them and chose your skills wisely. When you gain a enough XP to gain a Character Level you gain 10 Skill Points, with a fixed split of 5 for Characteristics and another 5 for Support Spells A skill point is used to level up a skill. Each player can only earn upto 40 skill points. 2 Skill points are earned during levels 1-5 and 1 skill point is rewarded up until level 35. Levels 36 and higher do not reward any skill points. Skills may consume up to 7 skill points to master and up to 2 to rank. Choose your skills wisely as gameplay heavily revolves around the skills you level Whenever a character levels up, they gain 20 Skill points' (SP) to assign to their skill tree to learn skills. Up to a maximum of 1980 points are available at level 100. Skill points represent how adept a character has been at learning skills, determined by class and intelligence. These are used to buy skill ranks, with ranks in those skills closely related to the character's class (the class being increased, in the case of multiclassed characters) costing fewer points than skills less closely related. In this way, class is a significant factor in both the type and quantity of skills a character can possess.

Skills may consume up to 7 skill points to master and up to 2 to rank. Choose your skills wisely as gameplay heavily revolves around the skills you level Skill points represent how adept a character has been at learning skills, determined by class and intelligence. These are used to buy skill ranks, with ranks in those skills closely related to the character's class (the class being increased, in the case of multiclassed characters) costing fewer points than skills less closely related. In this way, class is a significant factor in both the type and quantity of skills a character can possess. Each class has a number of skill points (from 2 to 8) it receives each level. To this is added the intelligence modifier, subject to a minimum of 1 skill point, and the sum is quadrupled at character level 1. These points are then available for immediate spending on ranks, or they may be saved and carried over to future level-ups. The costs and limits for skill ranks depend on the class being acquired, not the class that granted the skill points being spent, so it is not uncommon for players to "skill dump", saving skills from one class to be spent later with another class' costs and limits. (This is permitted by the game, even though the ability to save skill points was likely motivated by a much more limited use, specifically compensation for the inability to buy half ranks in a skill.) The skills closely related to a class are called "class skills"; each rank in a class skill costs one skill point. The other skills are called "cross-class skills" (or "unavailable"); each rank in a cross-class skill costs two skill points. The maximum number of ranks a class skill can be raised to is character level plus three, while the maximum for a cross-class skill is half this number, rounded down. (A cross-class skill may be higher than this if it was raised as a class skill earlier, but it cannot be raised higher than this during the current level-up.) Skill Points are your "currency" to "buy" Skills.
