Funky Barrel
rdfs:comment
The barrel resembles a regular Barrel with a tiny airplane stuck inside it. Once you hop in it you are taken to the world map screen, while a unique theme song playing. You can then choose which world and which level you want to go to like you would normally, but a lot faster. This is the only way to get to the overworld map without having to defeat a boss. In the SNES version, you have to go to the Funky's Flights building, but in the Game Boy Advance remake, you can simply press "START" and the option for this service pops up. The Funky Barrel is first accessible by going to Funky's Flights. By doing so, Funky Kong will introduce himself and show DK/Diddy the barrel. This barrel can go to a world that the player has already been to easier, faster, and with Funky's own unique theme playing while doing so. It is also the only means of getting to the main overworld map without having to defeat a boss first. It's featured on the background of Funky's Flights II in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. Strangely enough, also in Donkey Kong Land 2 despite not even appearing in Donkey Kong Land.

In the original Super Nintendo version of Donkey Kong Country, it can only be accessed at Funky's Flights, but in the Game Boy Advance remake the Funky Barrel can be summoned anywhere on the map after meeting Funky once (the barrel itself is still available at Funky's Flights), and the theme was changed. It's featured on the background of Funky's Flights II in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. Strangely enough, also in Donkey Kong Land 2 despite not even appearing in Donkey Kong Land. The barrel resembles a regular Barrel with a tiny airplane stuck inside it. Once you hop in it you are taken to the world map screen, while a unique theme song playing.
