Zhuang Shen is a notorious crime lord and leader of the Zodiac twelve Early history Zhuang Shen was born in Yiwu, located in Zhejiang. As a child he lived in the rough neighborhoods and thus became tough himself. By the age of 16 he had joined a notorious gang and became infamous for his cruelty. He quickly worked his way up the ladder until he became a bodyguard to the groups leader. Gang leader During a rival gang war Zhuang shot his leader in the back and claimed leadership of the gang for himself. When he discovered those who were loyal to the old leader he had them swiftly murdered. He built up not only his criminal empire but a business empire as well which was the perfect cover for what he was doing: Illegal chemical research. Zodiac twelve He soon recruited twelve mercenaries and offered them to chance to get superhuman abilities if they allowed him to experiment on them. They agreed and soon gained superhuman abilities. He convinced one of the members, Draco to suggest to the other members that they team up, but also told Draco to tell them that Draco himself came up with the idea. Draco then lead the others off to rob a bank but were interrupted by the Offbeats, a heroic team. The Zodiac twelve however beat them and got away with the money. Impressed Zhuang sent them off to teach a rival gang a lesson that they wouldn't forget. The Offbeats however met them and challenged them to a rematch to which the Zodiac twelve accepted. However the Offbeats split them up and defeated them one by one. By the end of the battle they were badly beaten and ran off. Zhuang however was not discouraged and offered to fund the team and give them weaponry.
