At 9:36am, Carl Webb was in a meeting with Frank Ames, Phil Tuttle and Bob Jorgensen in a room in the building. He received a call from Sherry Palmer, who asked for help with her son's predicament. He told her that he was taking care of the evidence against Keith. Frank Ames then left the room and called David Palmer from the corridor, relaying what had been said in the meeting and announcing his withdrawal from Palmer's campaign. ("Day 1: 9:00am-10:00am") Later Carl received another phone call, this time from David Palmer, demanding that he leave the building and come to Grant Street Elementary School for a meeting face to face.
