rdfs:comment
The western portion of the Ettenmoors, stretching from Hithlad and the Grimwood Forest in the south to the base of the Misty Mountains in the north and the Hoarwell River in the west, is called the Coldfells. Indigenous life teems throughout the area, bolstered by the presence of the Free Peoples and their allies. Features: Glân Vraig, Tirith Rhaw, Ost Ringdyr The Coldfells are a biome located to the east of the Ettenmoors, south of Angmar, west of the Misty Mountains, and north of the Lone-lands. Aragorn's grandfather Arador was slain by a troll here. The Coldfells are very similar to the Ettenmoors, except that they are less mountainous, have denser spruce tree coverage, and have maple trees. At night the land is home to Gundabad orcs, trolls, and Hill-trolls. Troll hoards and ruined Dúnedain towers spawn here. Upon entering the Coldfells, the player earns the achievement "The Wild North". Aragorn's grandfather Arador was captured here and slain by Hill trolls. Jagged, windswept downs in northern Rhudaur formed the most rugged foothills of the Hithaeglir. Steep gorges filled with rushing streams slashed the landscape. The Coldfells (S."Pinnath Aegring") were covered with scattered woodlands and were inhabited by Trolls , Hillmen , and huge herds of Losrandir.
