When he was younger Retsam had a very up and go attitude, a real spirit for adventure and a strong will to fight for what is right. He also had quite the sense of humour often telling jokes and pulling pranks on his friends and family. However over time he changed drastically. With the loss of his wife at a young age and being left to care for his son things wore him down. With not only the responsibility of a single parent but that of running a branch of the Jedi and holding together an alliance with a military force weighing on his shoulder also. During this time he began to rely more on wisdom than the fire of his soul. During his fall Retsam's personality became a corrupted parody of himself, often mocking his opponents and sprouting twisted logic painting everyone and everything as simply black. Now that Retsam has returned to the side of the light he is worn very thin with little patience of fools or liars and the wisdom of his years to see through almost anyone to the truth. No longer bitter he still feels a hole torn from him due to the loss of his wife but he has come to terms with it. More than anything he tries to share his experience, wisdom and mistakes with the newer generation while pushing them to stand up for what is right.
