Northlands
rdfs:comment
The Northlands is a location visited in the Riders of Berk comic, "The Ice Castle". The Northlands includes all the lands north of the Great Ocean and south of the Border Mountains, from the city of Tyren in the west to the the Bay of Fire in the east, among them the states of Ayrede, Tyren, and Corasan, the Plains of Nehdrah and Riverwood. Marcuria, the capital of the Ayrede, is often called the "jewel of the Northlands". Previously, the term was used to describe the entire continent it is located on. People from outside the Northlands often still use the old meaning of the term. At the end of TLJ Tyren was about to invade Marcuria, and perhaps beyond as well. The Northlands are quiet, hard-weathered lands to the north of Mossflower Woods, mostly home to vermin bands and armies, as well as birds and hares. The far North is often the source of much war and conflict. Corsair attacks are frequent, and on the Northeastern Coast is the formidable vermin fortress, Fort Marshank. Beyond the Great Northern Sea was Riftgard and the Land of Ice and Snow. The Northlands Is a common term used to describe the human kingdoms north of Thoradin's Wall and the Arathi Highlands. Originally settled by nobility and members of the church from the old kingdom of Arathor, The Northlands were considered a testament to the strength of mankind and the path of the holy light. Currently rule of the Northlands is split between The Scourge: a horde of necromancers and undead lead by forces from Northrend, and The Forsaken: an entire society of free-willed undead and other, more ancient ghosts. The Northlands is a name used to refer to different lands in the continent of Lordaeron. The first use of the term was during the Second War, to refer to much of the continent of Lordaeron, including the areas around Tyr's Hand, Tyr's Bay, Darrowmere, Caer Darrow, Stromgarde, Lordaeron, and Alterac. The Northlands is a term used throughout Gloriana, and may change context based on who uses it. As a region it may include areas as north as Spielburg Valley and Germany, and as far north as Norway, the Danesmark, Finelandia, and Jotunheim, and possibly Mordavia as well. Due to context to those of Spielburg, Jotunheim and anything north would be the Northlands. Whereas to people of Shapeir and Silmaria, Spileburg is of the Northlands. Northlands may refer to: * Forodwaith * Forostar * Northlands of Beleriand * Northlands of Eriador * the Northern Peninsula * Northern Rhovanion The Northlands is the name given to the area north of the Teeth of the World , where the moredhel and other dark creatures reside. This is also where Murmandamus (fake) gathered is armies and laid siege on Armengar .

The Northlands is a location visited in the Riders of Berk comic, "The Ice Castle". The term was later used to refer to the northern lands inside the kingdom of Lordaeron itself, where cities such as Stratholme, Andorhal, Hearthglen and Tyr's Hand are located. This was the area where Kel'Thuzad owned some warehouses. In these warehouses, he conducted experiments on rats in order to create an undead rat army in case of another war. His experiments were a failure, and the Kirin Tor confiscated all his property calling these experiments nefarious. This area was the first hit by the Plague, and later became the Western and Eastern Plaguelands. The Northlands are the place of origin of Martin the Warrior, and he described them as a region of mostly rocks, grass and hills. Many creatures from the northlands spoke with a thick brogue not unlike a real-life Scottish accent. The Northlands is the name given to the area north of the Teeth of the World , where the moredhel and other dark creatures reside. This is also where Murmandamus (fake) gathered is armies and laid siege on Armengar .
