rdfs:comment
Several Human colonies had been established in the asteroid belt by the 2060s. (ENT: "Terra Nova") In 2254, the position of the asteroid belt was depicted on a map of the inner system, stored in the USS Enterprise library computer. It was one of the records scanned by the Talosians. (TOS: "The Cage" , production art) In "Future's End, Part II", Chakotay referred to the asteroid belt as "the belt". In Star Trek Generations, Captain Harriman referred to it simply as "the asteroid belt".

Several Human colonies had been established in the asteroid belt by the 2060s. (ENT: "Terra Nova") In 2254, the position of the asteroid belt was depicted on a map of the inner system, stored in the USS Enterprise library computer. It was one of the records scanned by the Talosians. (TOS: "The Cage" , production art) In the 24th century, after Commander Chakotay completed flight training above North America in his first year at Starfleet Academy, he learned how to handle atmospheric storms on Venus for a couple of months. As part of his advanced pilot training, he also spent a semester navigating the objects in the belt. (VOY: "Future's End, Part II") In "Future's End, Part II", Chakotay referred to the asteroid belt as "the belt". In Star Trek Generations, Captain Harriman referred to it simply as "the asteroid belt".
