Flawless began writing raps at the age of 11, when best friend Dizzy approached him about starting a group, later named Tha Blockburnaz. The two began writing songs and searching for a record deal. Rapping verses on A&R’s and Executives voice mails became a weekly thing for the duo, much to the dislike of their mothers who received phone bills showing long distance charges. In the summer of 2005, Flawless met Israil Ali, II professionally known as Is Vintage. The two began constructing a sound that Tha Blockburnaz would use to gain local popularity. Shortly after Tha Blockburnaz would become defunct, and Flawless would have to decide if he wanted to continue his pursuit as a solo artist. Flawless went back to the basics of his craft spending hours on end perfecting his flow patterns, word play and recording techniques. His hard work would pay off in 2006, when Johnny Evans gave him a chance by handing him a disc of tracks by Kon Artist(Mr. Porter). Sensing that this could be the break he was waiting for Flawless went to the studio and record three songs produced by Mr. Porter. Flawless took those records and with Mr. Porter’s permission, used them to showcase his skills for other producers, industry taste makers and executives. Many of which are now heavy supporters of Flawless’ creative and business endeavors. In 2008 he began working on his debut album, which he entitled, To Be Announced….
