Avatar Wiki:War Room/Rename 'Wu'
rdfs:comment
__NOWYSIWYG__ Really, the usual reasons. The current Wu was featured in one episode. Judging by the first episode of Book Four, it seems obvious that Prince Wu will become a more major player. I propose that we rename his page to be 'Wu', and rename the fortuneteller's to be 'Wu (fortuneteller)'. Thoughts? 01:44, October 5, 2014 (UTC) I agree with Zir... nobody ever called her anything but aunt wu, and if we can avoid using parenthesis in a page title, then we should do so. There is close to zero chance that Wu will not appear beyond After All These Years, and even if he did, he's still more important than the other Wu for being a relative of Hou-Ting and now prince.--COKE (CST) 03:08, October 5, 2014 (UTC) i agree as well, in fact, i thought of making this thread myself after the page was recreated. Intelligence4 (wall • contribs) 05:27, October 5, 2014 (UTC) I agree with the rename of the prince's page to simply "Wu"; however, I suggest the page that is currently named Wu be renamed "Aunt Wu" due to the fact that she is never referred to as just Wu, hence I believe this situation is similar to Shady Shin and Lightning Bolt Zolt, in that there is a title before the actual name that always appears with the name, so it should also be included in the title of the article. 05:52, October 5, 2014 (UTC) The difference with Shady Shin and LBZ is that the first part of their name is a nickname, not a title as with Aunt Wu. We have a standard policy of not including titles, even if they are possibly honorary as with Aunt Wu, in article names, so I think Fruipit's suggestion of Wu (fortuneteller) is most suitable. 17:16, October 5, 2014 (UTC) I agree with Zir... nobody ever called her anything but aunt wu, and if we can avoid using parenthesis in a page title, then we should do so. Intelligence4 (wall • contribs) 19:26, October 5, 2014 (UTC) Doing so would be inconsistent with the naming styles we use for other articles. We have a number of other articles that use parentheses, and I do not see anything wrong with continuing to do so here. 19:43, October 5, 2014 (UTC)
