Spirit class Spirit Class
rdfs:comment
The Spirit-class was a type of Andorian warship in use in the 24th century. In 2365, three Spirit-class vessels were detected shadowing the USS Enterprise-D in the Pacifica system. As a group, the three vessels were considered to be evenly matched with the Galaxy-class ship. (TNG - Enterprise Logs short story: "The Captain and the King") The Spirit-class was introduced as a test-bed for quantum slipstream technology brought back from the Delta Quadrant by the USS Voyager, and a prelude to the larger Vesta-class design. The prototype vessel of the Spirit-class would enter production with the USS Amsterdam (NCC-80005), to be used as a corvette/medical transport.

n16:abstract
The Spirit-class was introduced as a test-bed for quantum slipstream technology brought back from the Delta Quadrant by the USS Voyager, and a prelude to the larger Vesta-class design. The prototype vessel of the Spirit-class would enter production with the USS Amsterdam (NCC-80005), to be used as a corvette/medical transport. The USS Spirit is designated an explorer scout, approximately one-hundred-and-ten meters long, fifty-eight meters across and twenty-four meter tall, with five decks. The Spirit has a crew compliment of between twelve and thirty personnel. The bridge, located on deck two, features both a viewscreen and window. And the small shuttlebay can house a single shuttlecraft and work bee. The Spirit features an extensive sensor network, including the sensor pod, used primarily for collecting slipstream data. The Spirit is armed with four torpedo launchers (two forward and two aft), along with eight rapid fire pulse phaser outputs, each capable of firing in three different modes and five phaser strips. The Spirit-class was a type of Andorian warship in use in the 24th century. In 2365, three Spirit-class vessels were detected shadowing the USS Enterprise-D in the Pacifica system. As a group, the three vessels were considered to be evenly matched with the Galaxy-class ship. (TNG - Enterprise Logs short story: "The Captain and the King")
